I am just curious if building a TT engine to have a compression ratio of 9.0:1 instead of the standard 8.5:1 would have enough benefits to be worth the extra costs and work. I figured that I would have to have a different tune, colder plugs, and rely on a higher octane than what is provided at the local pump. My present engine build-up plans are as follows: IPP Stage 3 short block with coating Race heads GT675RS turbos w/ manifolds Ash's Massive ICs w/ 2.5" piping and 60MM TBs. extrude honed plenums 740CC injectors Xstream dual intake etc etc. I was wondering if the powerband, peak power, low end torque and spool up will be increased enough to make the trouble worth while.
